Let’s edit this since we are already in the new year. No sentence should begin
with But or And. Out of all, a positive outlook in life is one of the most
important things you can do to improve your life. Positivity can help you to
make some of the biggest changes in your life. So how do you improve your
positive mindset? How can you be positive about yourself? You can start by
focusing on these 4-ways to be more positive in 2023:
Do not chase happiness
Have you ever been in a situation where you thought about how you should
sound in a conversation? Have you ever been so focused on making sure
everything at dinner was perfect and that everyone should be comfortable
that you forgot to be present? It’s time to to rethink where you want your
consciousness to be. You don’t have to wait for things to make youhappy.
You can choose to be happy right now.
The truth is that happiness is a choice, and it’s up to you to make it
happen. You can choose to be happy today or tomorrow; it’s all up to you!
So instead of waiting for happiness, why not take action and remind
yourself to experience it right now?
Treasure your inner world
Do you find yourself feeling envious of your co-worker’s accomplishments?
You are not alone in experiencing this emotion.
Low self-esteem affects 85% of the world’s population.. When people have
low self-esteem, it can be difficult for them to feel valuable or
confident as whothey are, says the Grand Rapids Counselling Services
It’s a scary thing to think that your self-doubt may be growing at an
uncontrollable rate, but it’s also a sign that something needs to change.
So, how to be more positive when you feel insecure about yourself? Takea
step back and ask yourself: “What am I doing that’s causing this
There are lots of reasons why you might feel like you’re not living up to
your potential, and it can be hard to identify them. But don’t let the
fact that your inner critic is telling you that you’re not good enough
stop you from finding out what those reasons are! Well it doesn’t end
there, once you figure out what’s going on, it’ll be easier to understand
and take action towards uplifting and really valuing yourself and that
will in itself help you be positive in life.
Give yourself a chance
Have you made a goal of reading 23 novels by 2023 but haven’t begun
reading yet? It made you feel like you’re losing, didn’t it?
If that’s the case, take a break, and re-evaluate your interests. Figure
out what inspires, motivates, and drives you, think about whether you
‘should’ achieve this goal or you really really want to.
CAN ADD SHOULD ACHIEVE vs REALLY WANT TO EXAMPLES HERE:
- Should – buy a car vs want to
- Should – study science vs want to
Keep doing you
Do you sometimes feel unmotivated?
Have you taken a few days off without feeling guilty?
If you’re wallowing in self-pity, pause, take five steps back, and
reconsider your current priorities.
It is OK to relinquish power for a free day to re-evaluate yourself
because the youneed yourself at your best.
We have covered a lot of ground here, and it’s time to wrap up. We have seen
that the positive outlook in life and choices you make today will have an impact
on the coming days—and that’s something to beexcited about! So what are you
going to do with all this information? How can you use your new knowledge of the
future to make better choices right now? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
